Our studio is currently a maya / arnold shop, but we are starting to use a great new GPU renderer on the market called Redshift. Are there any plans for Smedge to support this renderer in the future?

Thanks a ton,

Adam C.

Redshift for Maya can run with any current version of Smedge, if you set up your Maya scene file to use it, and use the "Maya" product in Smedge, which tells Maya to use the renderer set up in the file.

Smedge 2016 also includes a modification to the Maya.ini to specifically include Redshift for Maya, including the ability to dispatch separate work to separate GPU devices that may be installed on a single machine.

Smedge 2016 is currently in beta testing, and should be released in the next few weeks. If you have any questions, please contact .

Thanks,
