In the Utilities folder in the Smedge program folder, there is a file called "smedge_render_queue.jsx" that is an After Effects script to submit directly to Smedge from inside After Effects.
To use it, queue up all of the comps you want in the After Effects render queue, then run the script. It will create a Smedge Job for every queued render in your Project.
It submits directly to Smedge, and uses the default values for many of the Job parameters. It also needs the path to the Submit Shell executable program file to be specified in the script file. Before you use it for the first time, you should edit the script to be sure that the path to the Submit program has been set correctly. You can also add other parameters to change the Job details as you need (for example, if you want to set the Pool, you can add the "-Pool" flag to the command).
There is no GUI for this script, so it should work with every version of After Effects from 6.5 onwards (and maybe even 6.0). Some users have customized this script with a window interface for AE 7 and an embedded panel interface for AE CS 3. If any user out there wants to share their customized script, please post a message about it.
Thanks

This work/equivalant for Mac ? Works great on Windows, not sure how to re-configure it to work on the new 2.5 beta with a Mac since there is no "submit" exe?

The submit app is hidden inside the application bundle on the OS-X version. You can find it in one of several ways:
1. Use the new menu command: System > Smedge Files > Browse the application folder
2. Use the finder by control clicking the Smedge application icon and choosing Show Package Contents
The path to submit will be something like:
/Applications/Smedge.app/Contents/MacOS/Submit
(where the /Application part is wherever you extracted the Smedge application bundle from the ZIP file).
Thanks
