I have problems installing 2015 on Centos 7

---> Package Smedge.x86_64 0:2015.0-1 will be installed
--> Processing Dependency: libnotify.so.1()(64bit) for package: Smedge-2015.0-1.x86_64

--> Finished Dependency Resolution
Error: Package: Smedge-2015.0-1.x86_64 (/Smedge2015.0)
Requires: libnotify.so.1()(64bit)

yum install libnotify
Package libnotify-0.7.5-7.el7.x86_64 already installed and latest version

libnotify on Centos 7 does not have libnotify.so.1 but libnotify.so.4 only. I was trying to link so.1 to so.4 but it did not help . . .

I will do a CentOS 7 specific build. I have been building on Centos 5 for compatibility with the older kernel and libraries that some users have specifically requested. Builds are pretty easy, I just have to set up a VM to build with. I should have a Centos 7 specific machine hopefully by tonight.

It may be possible to find the older libnotify rpm on Centos7, or to build it from source, but that's a pain in the butt. The updated Centos 7 build will use the default installed libraries and should be more flexible.

Thank you for reporting this. Sorry for any inconvenience.

I have rebuilt Smedge on Centos 7 with current library dependencies. You can access builds directly with these links:

CentOS 7:
http://www.uberware.net/download/linux64/Smedge2015.0_centos7.rpm
http://www.uberware.net/download/linux64/Smedge2015.0_centos7.tar.bz2

CentOS 5:
http://www.uberware.net/download/linux64/Smedge2015.0_centos5.rpm
http://www.uberware.net/download/linux64/Smedge2015.0_centos5.tar.bz2

I also made the default Linux (x64) build download the CentOS 7 version for now. I can build for other specific distributions if needed. Contact me if you have any questions about or problems with the Linux builds.

Thank you,
