With the new "dark" interface, adjusted based on your feedback (and with an optional light look available as well), the latest version of Smedge includes many other new features, making this the most powerful, easiest to use, and most reliable Smedge ever.

Some of the changes in this release include:

+ You can now configure any setting of any Engine, even if that Engine is offline. The Engine data structure has been optimized to be more efficient and more flexible.

+ You can view and monitor the history of Engines, to see what work they are doing, as well as who made changes to the settings and when those changes were made.

+ There is a new back-end system for monitoring job failures that is faster and more flexible, allowing you to keep better track of failing jobs, problem engines, and ensure that failure counts are remembered even when the master is shut down or switches machines.

+ You can now view and access the cumulative real and processor time of jobs from event commands or from Herald events.

+ Jobs that produce copious amounts of errors will now be smarter about reporting and logging those errors to avoid overwhelming the system.

+ You can define a "success" string for Smedge to look for if you need to ensure that a job is not considered successful without a specific output message.

This release also includes all of the features and changes from the earlier 2015 pre-releases, including

+ Customizable priority boosting for frames from new Jobs, configurable by Job, Product or globally.

+ Set job, product and pool work limits by machine count or by work count.

+ Organize the Job History by Engine or by Work o help find problematic machines easier, or to see engine statistics on Jobs.

+ Assign a Job to multiple Pools to extend the power and control of how Jobs are distributed.

+ New module to control Houdini using the hrender system as well as using mantra directly.

+ Better logging, better scaling, and proven performance up to thousands of nodes.
