Coming home... : 26 February 2005

Well folks, we're almost home. We return to Los Angeles on March 1st, and settle back into our old lives, at least for a little while. It's been a great experience, that has changed our lives forever. We may not have done everything we had originally planned, but we also did things we had never even dreamed about. And we've got the pictures to prove it.

To all our friends around the world, we miss you and we hope to see you soon! And, to all our family and friends back home, we miss you can we WILL see you soon!

Thank you for sharing your beautiful pictures with the world.
We the desk bound appreciate the escapades of the curious and adventurous. What kind of camera did you use? The pics are really wonderful.

From China on, we used a Fuji Finepix 420 ( I think ), which was decent enough, as long as you didn't zoom in too tight. But it died finally just last month in Hawaii. Before that we were using an Olympus D40. A lot bigger, and quite the battery hog.

The Olympus was a 4 MegaPixel camera, and the Fuji was 5, but all pictures were drastically reduced to fit the web. Both had a "chrome" mode, that we used to increase the color saturation and make things look prettier. A few pictures had some manipulation in Photoshop, but not too many.
