Yes, we're still in Hawaii!

We're in Hawaii! We're in Hawaii! That's right, we've finally started. While we haven't actually left the country yet, it is sort of like a different world over here. The best part was the day spent on the beach in Waikiki yesterday. While today will be a much less entertaining day of actually doing work (for me anyway), it doesn't hurt to intersperse the work with things like drinking Paninis on the beach. It was Andrea-Marie's 2nd birthday yesterday. We had brought over her present, a super tricycle with all the trimmings, including tassles on the handlebars and a bell. The best part, since she's too small to quite be able to push herself, is that it has a handle system that her "grown up friend" (to use Barney's phrase) can use to push her around, and even steer for her. She seems to love it, as she's always pointing to it and saying something that sounds vaguely like "bike!" and making us push her around. She even gets into the seat herself and fastens the little seat belt, waiting patiently for someone to push her. Even weirder, she love the helmet (the "hat" as she calls it), and makes us put it on her. For a while, anyway, until her head gets too hot and she tries to take it off. Little Graeme, meanwhile, is still pretty much incommunicado. Excpet for the occasional screaming. Mostly, however, he simply sits there and stares at you with his big beautiful eyes. I've never seen a baby stare so intently, but that has always been his thing. We'll have some pictures up later.
