Render nth frame?

Hi all! First of all, just test driving Smedge with MODO and love it so far. It's in some odd way satisfying that win networking is a much bigger issue than the render farm xD
Now, I do lot of animations and being able to render nth frames is really top priority. Is there a syntax for that? Can't find any topic or mention of that in the documentation or elsewhere.
As an example, I have a file in which the Frames in Modo are set to render every 2nd frame (so odd frames only) but it's overriden by Smedge, which renders the full sequence. Using comma-delimited list for hundreds of frames seems like a pain in the butt for a simple problem ^^
Is there any solution outside of hacking the Modo script Smedge is using?
Thanks!!!

I believe that if you make your Smedge "Packet Size" to be the same as, or a multiple of, your render by frames value, it should work fine. I'm not at a Modo machine right now to verify, but that is how it works for other renderers.
Smedge does include an area where you can also add Modo commands to be executed after the scene file is loaded and prepared and before the rendering starts. This would be a perfect place to add the command needed to change the render by frames value, but again, you must also set the Packet Size to this value in the Smedge data, or it will not be useful.
If that doesn't resolve it, please send an email to and we can look into options. Thanks,
