greetings - having a weird problem with smedge.
I'm rendering file 'x' from one box and getting my mentalray exrs quickly without error but am unable to open them in nuke (can open in xnview). Then taking the same file 'x' and submitting from a different computer to the same render engines takes like 10 x longer and getting what I'm after; opens in nuke with all the passes.
I suspect a recent install of octane might have something to do with it but I've uninstalled the program and opened and saved the file on a computer without. But still problems.
anyone have any ideas?

One thing to try is to copy the Smedge generated command line into a command prompt on the machine having the issue. If you see that it has the same issue, it's probably some machine level configuration, maybe environment variables not set right or incorrect versions of plugins, or some similar type of configuration issue.
If the render works correctly by command line, but not through Smedge, first try restarting Smedge or the whole machine: the problem could be that configuration changes just have not been noticed by Smedge because it was running before the changes happened. If that does not solve it, contact me directly at , and I can remote connect to take a closer look.
Thanks,
