This update includes a few new features and requests, as well as some fixes for issues found in the 2014 release. You can find links to download on all platforms from our downloads page:

http://www.uberware.net/download.php

Some highlights:

+ You can now assign staggering and total work limits to pools
+ You can execute a custom command from the GUI with variable substitution from selected jobs
+ PoolManager commands Sleep to put all machines to sleep, and Run to run a command immediately
+ GUI Window menu to keep you from getting lost in open windows
+ CheckFileSequence uses the new list control and looks a lot better
+ Continued optimizations for performance

- Cannot view process output from the work list
- Image size check failure was not reported in job history
- Job history gets incorrect running time for work started before the client connects
- Conspectus did not show up right without resizing the window
- Nuke could fail to detect frame files under some circumstances
- REDline submit was requiring a frame range when it should not require that
- Maya single frame products get garbage string in the composite command field
- (Windows) Output from some processes would include extraneous line breaks
- (Linux) Random crash in the logging system
- (Mac) Some components did not quit with Command+Q
- (Mac) Multiple sets of radio buttons on a dialog would interfere with each other
- (Mac) Starting components from the GUI did not bring their windows to the front at startup
- CheckFileSequence crash on connect
- Possible crash in the output error detection system
- New list control columns could get negative sizes and become lost

Please let me know if you have any questions. Thank you, and see you in Smedge!

Hi everyone.

So there is some kind of linked library problem with Smedge 2014 Update 1 on Mac. It will work on OS-X 10.9 (Mavericks), but not on the older versions. It should work all the way back to 10.5. I am working on the fix right now and will re-upload the Mac build once it is working. I am sorry for the inconvenience.

Hi again. I have re-uploaded the Mac release with the corrected library dependencies. This should resolve the issue of it not starting up correctly on OS-X prior to Mavericks. If anyone has any trouble with any version of Smedge 2014 Update 1, please let me know at your earliest convenience so I can check out the issue.

Thank you all for your patience, and please let me know if you have any questions.
