Smedge 2012 is just about ready! I have scheduled the release for the end of this month. Check back for download links then.
Here's a summary of some of the new features and fixes in the new version:
+ Wake on LAN
+ Remote machine control (shutdown/reboot/sleep)
+ Variable packet sizes (slower machines render fewer frames at a time)
+ Customizable GUI (make your own view tabs) and new view filtering options
+ Automatic Font installation
+ Individual job and engine dispatch reporting
+ Limit concurrent work allowed for specific users
+ Maximum job failure limit to avoid failing jobs from taking too much time
+ Processor usage and peak memory usage reporting
+ Option to automatically reset job failures when deleting jobs
+ Increased command line functionality for monitoring jobs and configuring engines
+ Improvements to integration with Maya, 3DS Max, Nuke, After Effects and Cinema 4D (and more coming!)
+ Improved Modo support
Besides all of the new features, we have spent a lot of time optimizing the code. All Smedge components now run at least an order of magnitude faster and use less RAM than before. We have also found and fixed several possible causes for crashes and hangs, and fixed several other bugs.
A complete list of changes will be posted with the release and included in the "What's New" manual with the new version. Please let me know if you have any questions.
Thanks!

OK, so it's still April 30 somewhere in the world. Alas, I missed my own deadline. The new version will be ready tomorrow. I'm sorry for the delay. I'm just finishing up the documentation and then I can upload all of the packages.
Thanks for your patience,
-robin
