If you use the djv_view image display program, you can integrate it with Smedge to view your images sequences directly from the Smedge interface. To do so:
- Choose System > SmedgeGui Options... (On Mac, it's Smedge > Preferences...)
- Click on the "Product Options" tab
- Select the product for which you want to set djv to be your sequence viewer.
- Set the values like this:
View Frame Commandline | "C:\Program Files\djv 0.8.3\bin\djv_view.com" -playback stop $(Note.Local.Enquote) |
View Sequence Commandline | "C:\Program Files\djv 0.8.3\bin\djv_view.com" $(SequenceName.Local.Enquote) |
Sequence Format Specifier | $(Range.Start) |
Repeat Format Specifier | Unchecked |
- Repeat steps 3 and 4 for each product you want to set up.
- Click OK
Remember to adjust the path to jdv to the correct path to where you installed it on your system.
Thanks!

If you're rendering Mantra at your facility and have Houdini services (for licensing) on your workstation then you could also use MPLAY.
Use the following
View Sequence Commandline:
"Q:\applications\houdini\11\bin\mplay.exe" -flipbook -r 30 -G 2.2 -p -M black $(SequenceName.Local.Enquote)
Sequence Format Specifier:
*
which will open and give Mplay the line:
G:\Houdini_tester\user\jamiem\FarmRayTraceOutput\Raybenchmark_*.exr
to cycle through.
For more Mplay commandline info check out: http://www.sidefx.com/docs/houdini11.1/mplay/mplay_options
cheers
