From 2010 release notes:
> All space characters are removed from captured output log files
> This was a user requested feature to keep the generated filenames
> a little more computer friendly. Space characters are replaced
> with underscores.
Awesome! (gee I wonder which user requested that? :-)), however, the spaces are still making their way into the directory names for the log files. Possibly fix for future update please?
Thx J.

I see. Sorry I missed that the first time. Got it in the next release.
Thanks

Is it possible to escape the strings in the note param as well. I've had a couple of head scratching moments until I realised it was the note that was acting up.
(seeing as your in there :D )
Cheers!

Hi Jamie. Can you clarify what you mean by escaping the note? Do you mean when you are trying to set the note or when you are trying to access it in some way?
Thanks

I think the problem was present on an earlier build, it was generally when an artist submitted a job with special/reserved chars of some sort in the note that when it went to render it kind of crashed.
Once I changed the note on the job and resent it worked, however, there's nothing to say that the problem (possibly in the artists scene) wasn't resolved whilst I was trying this out..
I'd say leave it as is unless I can get a chance to confirm this one here.
Sorry for the run-around. :(
