well
not all modules support check file sequence since Smedge is not able to detect the path and filename from render log
it whould be helpfull if user could call the check on job X and if no images are found automaticly user can "browse" to a folder - the check tool detect all files in folder and just do what it normaly do

I am in the process of adding some functionality to CFS to make it more flexible. One of the things I was going to add is the ability to override the frame range to check. It would also be possible to add file sequence specifiers as well, which would accomplish what you are asking.
