A minor (from user perspective), but useful feature, would be to be able to constrain the list in the "Type" field of the Job submission form to only the products one currently wishes to use.

This has been added to the Smedge 2010 beta 5 release.
Open the SmedgeGui Options dialog
Click on the "Hide Products" tab.
Select the products you want to hide. (You can right click to select all or none quickly)
Click OK.
Now all the selected products will be removed from any list of products displayed in SmedgeGui.
This affects SmedgeGui only, and only for the local user. It specifically does not disable rendering of other products by the Engine, it simply hides their display in SmedgeGui on the machine you set this on, only for the user who made the change.
