How do I go about setting up a network with Smedge 2.5 when the engines are on one subnet and the workstations/engines are on another subnet?
In 2.4 and earlier I just set up a designated master and configured the connections with that machines name and port. The problem is when using the new Smedge master less feature I can't just configure a connection to a machine that may or may not end up being the master.
I would LOVE to be able to use the new Smedge because it would save me huge headaches.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks

You can still configure everything manually with the new 2.5 release. Configure the other clients to connect directly to your specified Master, and on the Master machine, use the menu command:
System > Components > Install and Start the Master Service
You probably want to disable the mirroring system. In the Configure Master dialog, on the Dispatch tab, near the bottom is a check box "Allow Mirrors" which you can uncheck. This will ensure that any client that connects to your dedicated Master will automatically stop the local master mirror processes so that you don't get split networks from the automatic system.
