I assume you would also want to know when a job is resumed?

Yep, I'd vote to have this as well. It is one of the missing things in the notification engine which would be a big help.
Or how about also when a job doesn't have any cpu's allocated (aka a higher priority job takes over) as an notification option. Maybe have a trigger threshold of 'MINIMUM_CPUS' in there.
My 2c :D

I started looking into this and realized you can do this already in any version of Smedge. Set your notification job filter to "Status" "is" "-1" and the event should be the "job updated". You must type the word "Status" yourself, because it is not in the list of common parameters. You can actually type any parameter name here, even if the parameter does not appear in the drop down list.
One problem is that if you make a change to a paused job, it will still trigger this notification. I will see about adding more sophisticated pause/resume notification anyway but this will get you going right away.

FYI, I have specifically added "Job Paused" and "Job Resumed" events to Herald that you can use to do this correctly. The event will only get called if the Job's status is changed.
This is available in version 2.5 beta 4, available for download now.
Thanks
